Hi, I’m Tom Dang.
How It Started
It all began as a boredom during the COVID pandemic back in 2020. We were all stuck at home, stir-crazy. You can only mow your lawn so much. So I decided to buy a cheap project car. A Honda Element.
I had a vision of it lowered on aftermarket wheels, some running boards to give a wider appearance, as well as trying my hand in color changes. That meant trying out liquid wraps.
Doing all kinds of research on something is all well and good, but you have to actually do it. Make the mistakes, know how to recover or fix them, discover the best techniques that work for you, etc.
Dang Dips
After a few projects of my own, I decided to see if anyone else would trust me to work on their cars, and thus the side gig of Dang Dips was created. Dips because I specialized in liquid wraps. After doing that for a few years, I wanted to expand to vinyl Wrapping, PPF, color PPF, tint, suspension, etc.
Dang Dips becomes Top Spec Customs
The decision to do this full time recently and expanding services means the name Dang Dips wasn’t going to work anymore. Working out of a garage also won’t do, and a dedicated work space is needed. I’m proud of where I’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.
